Western Digital WD7500KEVT Review: I love having the larger drive in my Macbook pro. Installation was incredibly easy. It does run a bit hotter than the drive that shipped with the Macbook Pro. It is whisper quiet though. The only downside that I see is that the boot up process has definitely been slowed down. Under 10.6.2 my old drive booted in about 30-40 seconds this one is 1:15 to 1:30 to boot. Once its up though access speeds seem to be fine.3 of 5 . Read more »
